The Spirocore violin string set is the highest range of Thomastik-Infeld all-metal strings. The core of the strings is made of a spirally twisted steel cable, usually chrome-plated (other materials are available on request). The typically sharp and punchy sound is popular especially with folk music players, but you can often come across this coating with "classics" as well.
